Do muscle cells permanently die if you do zero physical work and eat very little protein and calories?

Will your full muscle potential be permanently lower?

    They atrophy and get smaller, and they can be built back up.

    In the short term, yes.

    But theres a concept known as Muscle Memory. What size has been reached would be easier to reach again.

    But you dont want ti starve yourself too much.
