Rods from God?

How much damage would the rods from god weapon do if it was going 10-50 percent the speed of light. Please show me how you solved it. Thank you

    As a purely kinetic weapon, it depends entirely on the weight and speed of the projectile. But 10-50% the speed of light is ridiculous for a projectile with any significant mass. Usually this has to do with things dropped from obit, in which case we're only talking about 0.0025% the speed of light (8 km per second). In any case, kinetic energy = 1/2 * mass * velocity squared (e=½mv²).

    So the speed of light being 299,792,458 meters per second, a 10 kilogram mass going 10% the speed of light would have 4.5 x 10^15 joules of energy, or slightly more than a 1 megaton nuclear explosion (1 megaton = about 4.184 x 10^15 joules).
