Painting a Matte White Football helmet?
I just brought my son a Riddell Speed Flex helmet the only problem is the team was going with Matte White helmet at the last minute they change it to metallic white helmet. Where can I take it to get it painted?

You should be able to get this done at your local Home Depot or Lowe's Home Improvement store.

I suggest that you first make sure that it can be painted- a simple phone call to the manufacturer, or perhaps just reading the owners manual might tell you. MANY solvents can destroy helmet shells. Here is their phone number 1-888-681-1717
If you are talking about METALFLAKE white versus metallic white then it is an expensive proposition... probably more than the helmet costs new. If the color is pearl AND the helmet can be painted you MIGHT be able to find a can of automotive touchup spray paint. It takes some significant effort to prepare the surface. Don't forget the clear coats.
One final option... call around to local body shops (not chain shops like MAACO) and if you find the helmet can be painted ask them the cost.
