Let me see if I understand this...if I put the phrase "..."militarily speaking..." In any chat or rant I can be immune from being reported?

No. Not at all.........you can still be reported if what you post *after* "Militarily speaking" is followed by abuse or a rant against another user.

The reason people put "Militarily speaking"......(or Poltically speaking, or Religious speaking..) before their question, is because each category has it's rat pack of trolls who like to move questions to MAKE-UP......

or Rodents, or LGBT, just to be cute.

and then those people know which category, the question needs to be RETURNED to.

its also a way of letting people know the question belongs in that category.........even if the question isn't about the Military , per se..........but perhaps somewhat related......and that's the category they want the question to appear in.

Unfortunately........even trolls and pests can sometimes reach level 7, and gain that question moving power.

As the good people right here in Military are well aware of, since they keep moving my questions to "Make-Up."

I'll tell you what also doesn't work Michael......falsely reporting people for things they are not guilty of, and spreading lies about them, and openly lying about them on the boards.

That's called harrassment, and IS against the TOS guidelines here.

So expecting someone to be reported or suspended, based on lies......that's what the appeals process is for.

But notice......suspensions are NOT reversed, when the person is actually GUILTY of the harrassing behavior.

EDIT: See? just like some putz tried to report this answer, with his many sock puppets, no doubt----- and got it removed......that's the easy part........but I appealed and got it put right back---since there was nothing wrong or reportable about my answer.

False reporting only ruins the FALSE reporters credibility here...... and getting my stuff re-instated *Improves* mine .

Not by Liberals! Remember reporting is anonymous!

Or if our military is besmirched it can by people like me, but I've never reported anyone nor have I blocked anyone for even spite.

Even though Yahoo is a private company and can censor what they want I tend to respect the essence of the First Amendment even here.

In my military mind I don't think that will prevent reporting or subsequent sanctions by YA.
