modify a webpage based on other webpages? (chrome)?

is there an easy way to make an extension that alters a webpage based on content found on another webpage? (i.e. if the external page has a certain number, include a div otherwise leave the page the same?). I can't change the actual page, but I'd like to make something in the vein of style changer plugins, if possible

Should be possible, yes. I don't think there's an "easy way" though.

Really not sure what you mean...

But yes you can Modify a Current Webpage... or better yet "Sandbox" it... if you do a Refresh it will revert back.

Pressing f12 will allow you to edit a Webpage your own via its source code.

Client calls (JavaScript) will work... placing Div's changing colors and changing text... but again will go away on refresh or clicking any link which redirects the page back to server pages specifications.

Again not sure if this is what your looking for, as this is only Local editing on your system only.
