is there something I can do to stop pop up videos from playing when I visit a website? It drains the battery and slows my computer?

    You would have to block all that stuff in your browser (cookies, etc.) which could affect that site's performance. You could find a way to run the laptop on the charger instead of carrying. Or, you could pick a different site without so much yucky extras.
