Which sentence is correct? "I would like to recommend one of the members, Bob." or "I would like to recommend one of the member, Bob."?

Update:

Which sentence is correct? "I would like to recommend one of the staff members, Bob." or "I would like to recommend one of the staff member, Bob."?

Update 2:

It was actually written as "I would like to recommend one of the staff members, Bob for the position of leading assistant."

My classmate insisted that it should be "member", not "members". But my other classmate argued that "members" is correct, not "member". I tried several grammar checks, but my two classmates are still unconvinced.

"I would like to recommend one of the staff members, Bob." or "I would like to recommend one of the staff member, Bob"

Are you recommending someone to Bob? If not you should say ""I would like to recommend Bob, one of the staff members (to assist the minister)" or "I would like to recommend the staff member Bob (for the position)" the sentence is incomplete
