What proof is there that God is real? Or fake?

I am going to be agnostic and pedantic on this. Let us make minimal assumptions about a god if it/he/she/they exist. Let us assume that it exists outside nature, but could interact through nature. If a god existed entirely outside nature then it would be as if the god did not exist, or existed in a separate universe. Let's also exclude the specific cases where god and the universe are identical. In that case, a god is just a synonym.
Now if the god interacts through the universe, essentially the Catholic concept of sacramentality, then the god can be measured. Indeed, if a god interacted with Moses at a burning bush, the report of it in the bible is a primitive form of recording and measurement.
Now lets consider a variety of possible scenarios. Let us assume that a god alone causes all rain, but that god uses natural laws entirely. The god has no interest in anything in the universe except rain. The universe was created solely so the god could experience natural rain. The rain could be thought of as predestined, although such a strong requirement need not exist. The god may have just set up a universe with as many natural occurrences as makes the divinity happy.
The god only used natural laws, so the god is indistinguishable from nature as nature was designed for rain. Any separate action cannot be seen because it organized around the Big Bang. Indeed, the Big Bang was set up to maximize the divine experience of rain.
This god could not be detected and any claimed detection would be spurious. This god leaves no trace because it has no miracles. A god that ordered the universe perfectly for its own pleasure could not be detected and it would be as if no god existed.
The opposite god would be Allah from the Koran. The anti-deist god if there ever was one. All exists solely by will and miracles happen. Miracles can be detected. In fact, they must be detected to be recorded. This can be measured. A god that regularly interferes in nature can be readily detected. It would be quite possible to see and measure such a god. It may be fleeting, but it is possible.
The problem with exceedingly rare events that are at best implausible, is that they prohibit proof. Even if totally true, the rarity of the event and its implausibility make it incredibly unlikely there is a god even when there is truly a god. Miracles are as much evidence against a god as for a god. For a "believer," who in the eyes of a non-believe is more defined as gullible, this is proof because this reinforced prior belief. For the non-believer, the absence of third party evidence is evidence of the absence of a god. So a god that interacts and but controls, but is seen rarely creates no proof.
Of course the truly magical god that constantly intervenes could not be a case or we would see flying people and dogs that talk when god needs things like that done.
Now, not as an agnostic, but as an atheist, I find it interesting that miracles usually happen in places where literate people do not live and happen far from cameras Indeed, miracles fell out of existence for a period of time once cameras and science came into existence. Reported miracles collapsed..
One interesting special exception to this was at Fatima where the press was present for the miracle of the sun, with cameras. What makes the "miracle" interesting is that while many people in the crowd saw the sun dance, the trained observers did not. With the press present, there is no photographic evidence of any miracle. One hundred thousand observers, but not everyone saw it. More importantly, if the sun moved, nobody on the bright side of the Earth saw it outside the crowd. The press did not see it, but many did see it. There have been some attempts to ascribe it to natural phenomenon, because staring at the sun for prolonged periods will cause illusions to happen, but it is an official miracle.
This creates a problem for miracles. There is at least one known happening of a miracle where loosely modern equipment was present with modern observers and none of the trained observers, the press and academics, saw the event. Does god only want believers who are uneducated? Does he want to trick scientists and independent reporters? If so, why?
That is an atheist perspective, rather than an agnostic perspective. It has a fatal flaw. It draws its conclusions from a single human event and that event may not be representative and so an atheism based on this one event would be an atheism that was intellectually flawed. Still, atheism is an absence of a belief in a deity and so need not be fully rational as it must have a component of personal utility in it. The agnosticism above is sound though.
Sorry for being pedantic.

1) Nothing comes from nothing (actual nothing, not "Krauss nothing".)
2) Life is based on information. Information that is copied and duplicated. Information only comes from an agent.
In other words, it takes a great deal of ungrounded faith and a great deal less reason to conclude that life of any kind might possibly spontaneously generate via natural processes in any natural conditions - even given billions of years.
3) Person-hood only comes from the personal, not the impersonal.
4) Reason/rationality/choice is not a property nor an "emergent property" of matter/energy.
5) Morality is objective and as such must have a basis transcendent of humanity.
6) Evil is real, not just an affront to our personal sensibilities.
7) Not everything is ontologically reducible to matter and forces.
These seven facets (and more) of observational reality are best explained by the Judeo-Christian understanding of God.
And not very reasonably explained (if explainable at all) on Naturalism (what atheism must reduce to).
A thinking person should at least go with the best conclusion available.

Well, let us first see that the Bible is a book of truth.
Number 1: Are the Jews are real people. If you answer, "Yes", then move to question #2.
Number 2: Why the Jews are called "Jews". If you don't know, look to the Bible where the Jews are called Jews because they descended from the tribe of Judah.
Genesis 29:35 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “This time I will praise the LORD.” So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children. NIV
Look and see if there is any other answer. There isn't any acceptable answer for the truth is accepted by the world.
Number 3: Now that the Jews are real people and they are in the Bible, ask yourself why Jews don't take Jesus as Lord and Savior and why they don't believe Jesus is the Messiah.
If you don't know, the answer is that the Jews holy text, the Tanakh/Old Testament was written before the coming of Jesus. This helps provide proof that the whole Bible (Old Testament/New Testament) were not written at the same time.
Now if we know that the Old Testament and the New Testament were not written at the same time, then the prophecies and foreshadowings of the Old Testament could not have been made up. Rather, they were made in advance and fulfilled later on. The fulfilled prophecies and foreshadowings are THE ULTIMATE PROOF of GOD.
What are some prophecies and foreshadowings given by God in the Tanakh/Old Testament that have come to be fulfilled, he may ask.
Now let's look at the Tanakh/Old Testament foreshadowings/prophecies concerning Jesus.
1) Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem---Micah 5:2
2) the King/Messiah was to bring salvation was to ride into Jerusalem on an ***, upon a colt, the foal of an ***-----Zechariah 9:9
3) the price of Jesus' betrayal was told to be 30 pieces of silver, told who would end up with the money (the potter), and where the silver would be cast (the house of the Lord-----Zechariah 11:13
4) that the hands and feet would be pierced-----Psalm 22:16
5) that He would be born of a virgin---Isaiah 7:14
6) that He would be pierced for our transgressions---Isaiah 53:5
7) that He would die with wicked, be assigned a rich man's grave, though He had done no violence or said anything deceitful---Isaiah 53:9
One foreshadowing fulfilled by Jesus is the Passover Lamb.
The Passover lamb died on the 14th of Nisan. Its' blood was placed on the door frames of the Israelites homes to protect the Israelites from the angel of death and the plague of the first born males. Those that had faith that the blood of the lamb would save them (the Israelites) were protected from physical death. The Egyptians, who did not have faith in the blood, died. No bones were to be broken on the Passover lamb.
Jesus, the true Passover Lamb, died on the 14th of Nisan. Those who have faith in the blood of Jesus to save them will be spared of spiritual death. Those who do not believe will suffer spiritual death/eternal torment in the lake of fire. No bones were broken on Jesus.
One foreshadowing you may not have known of is the names of the first ten descendants/genealogy of Jesus.
Look at the genealogy from Adam to Noah.
God always rewards the diligent student. Let us examine this chapter more closely. In our Bible, we read the Hebrew names. What do these names mean in English?
The Composite List
Now let's put it all together:
Hebrew--English
Adam-----------Man
Seth-------------Appointed
Enosh-----------Mortal
Kenan------------Sorrow;
Mahalalel-----------The Blessed God
Jared-----------------Shall come down
Enoch-----------------Teaching
Methuselah-------------His death shall bring
Lamech-------------------The Despairing
Noah------------------------Rest, or comfort.
Let's put the message/foreshadowing together, now.
Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.
There is the good news of Jesus in the genealogy from Adam to Noah.
So there is proof that Jesus is the Son of God from the Tanakh/Old Testament which was written hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus.
One fulfilled prophecy that was recently fulfilled was the Isaiah 9:10 prophecy that the best-selling book the Harbinger was about.
This prophecy was fulfilled by Tom Daschel and John Edwards after the 9/11 attack.
Tell him that you have given him things to ponder.
Tell him the only reasonable response is that the Bible is God's gift to mankind to show us what God wants from us and how he expects us to act and what the future is.
God wants us to know that Jesus/Yeshua is the Son of God and is the Savior of the world.
No one can get eternal life/heavenly life without faith in Jesus and repentance of our sinful ways.
We are all sinners and unless we have faith in Jesus, his blood cannot pay the penalty for our sins. The result is an eternal existence without God and his blessings. It is pure torment.

Many ask similar questions and the correct response is: "what proof is there that God doesn't exist"
That said, I'll leave the following for you to contemplate.
HERE'S WHAT ATHEISTS TAKE AS THE TRUTH / WHAT THEY BELIEVE:
The earth is about 4 billion years old.. in that time, everything living on earth, came out of dirt and water and minerals etc The living things just came out of this earth without any help and are in the present form by random chance. All the animals, plant, fish etc. in the Sea, birds in the air, bugs, trees, worms and the food we eat today are all perfect by random chance and didn't get wiped out somewhere along the way.
WHAT AN UNLIKELY EVENT
The random amoeba or plant that somehow came into existence out of nothing didn't get radiated to death, didn't get frozen to death, heated to death, didn't run out of food, didn't run out of water, didn't have something fall on it, kept splitting and dividing into billions of different life forms as we see today, all thru largely random chance.
WHAT AN UNLIKELY EVENT
HERE'S WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS:
In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the earth.
The odds of one man fulfilling the prophecies of the Messiah has been calculated to be at least 1 to the123rd power. God revealed that He was coming to save us and made it crystal clear who He was when He came.
The evidence of God's workmanship is available for you to see and experience right under your feet, in the sky, in the universe. Plus God has told us what the future will bring and the events foretold in the Bible are CLEARLY seen in the news today.
Here's a short summery of the Bible
THE CONTRACT
God is 3 personages, Jesus is God Himself; God the Son, & took on humanity, coming as a man to save us. Satan orchestrated a contract with sin with Adam in the Garden of Eden. Since that time, sin passes through man, therefore, Jesus was born of a virgin in order to save us of our sins & get us out of the contract. God worked out legal grounds, through Abraham, in order to save us & pour the sins of humanity on to Jesus on the Cross. Roughly 2000 years after Abraham was asked to kill / sacrifice his son, God sent His Son, on the same spot, to die for us. A man (Adam) put us in sin, a man (Jesus) gets us out of the contract Legally however, you'll have to accept it, for a pardon is not valid unless you accept it. make the right decision. If you choose to reject God, it's not God's will but your will that will be done.
JESUS, God Himself, Jehovah, YHWH, The Creator, My Savior, Fully Deity, Fully man
Romans 10:9-13 believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. (Acts chapter 16)
