Should I Get Another Dog?

I have a chihuahua and mini pin, they re three years old as of about two weeks ago. I m moving soon and I will have a lot more room so my family and I were thinking about getting a larger dog.

Our dogs don t play well with other dogs --- they don t fight physically though --- but I think if we got the dog as a puppy we could grow with them like they did themselves. The only reason my dogs are so inseparable is because they were raised together, as if I randomly put them together now they wouldn t tolerate each other.

I was thinking a bull terrier? Something not incredibly large but still big. Sheltie or boston terrier? What is your opinion?

If you can constantly supervise, separate/contain when you can't, immediate correction when caught in the act, as there are no guarantees that any two dogs will ever get along, and more so I do not recommend it since you've admitted "they wouldn t tolerate each other. Our dogs don t play well with other dogs" why would you even consider bring another dog into the mix.
