He's done the damage, now he can step aside and let someone else take the flak. Then again, like Boris, he loves to be in the limelight, so not long.

Farage should be muzzled, he's a disgrace to the UK

So I expect he'll wait a week, maybe less

He has done his bit, and deserves to relax after waking up the country to the europratic government!

Although no-one can predict the future, it sounds he's serious this time.

Hopefully this time that man has gone for good!! Talk about rats and sinking ships much as he nailed his coffin shut with his last appearence within the EU!! In this case, good job - wise decision. How anybody can join an organisation/stand for election as an MEP with the express intention of getting the UK out of Europe is beyond me. If he had concerns about Britain and the EU, how much more effective could he have been had he taken a different approach. The man is an idiot.

Sadly it seems the whole of British politics is currently in meltdown. And it could all have been so different had common sense prevailed re this Referendum which for me, should hever have been left to the British public to vote on.

what exactly will UKIP do in an independent UK?

I think he will resume being leader in 16 months time when article 50 hasn't been enacted and there is no sign of it.

He has stated his intentions and I think he will stick to them. He can of course act as an advisor or negotiator for the exit. But we shall see.
