Is a quitclaim deed a good idea?

Can a wife quitclaim a deed to her property to her husband? There is no lien, mortgage or any thing attached to the property. (Right now, the property is soly in the wifes name) The wife needs to get the property out of her name because of financial problems before her creditors attach a judjement / lien on the property. We live in New York.

WOW Fraud, and you dont think her creditors will notice?

That is called financial fraud and the creditors have the right to have the transaction nullified, ownership returned to the wife and then the property seized. The transfer of the property is public record and easily identified.

Doing so may be a violation of law and will compound your wife s problems.
