iphone 5s vs. phones with newer vs of android?

Update:

Iphone 5s vs. phones with newer vs of android? Walmart has a what seems to be a good deal on an iphone 5s through straittalk at the moment ($149). I'm considering it because the past two android phones I have had have ended up being really glitchy and just weird overall problems. Currently have android 4.1.2. What would be better, an iphone 5s which is now outdated by iphone standards or a phone with a newer version of android?

    I think the 5s is likely worth $149 I am using my wifes old one to play audible books in my car. She would likely still be using an iphone 5 if we had not switched phone companies.

    My person preference is for android with newer design than S3.

    You can get relatively good phones for under $200 but likely not better than an iPhone 5s

    Well I personally would go with a newer phone and don't go with an off brand network if your worried about budget go with Sprint to T-Mobile (DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE)
