why has no action been taken over Military Incompetence over 9-11 Yet?

The idea of Military incompetence regarding 9/11 stems.from a public's misconception about the military brought on by too many unrealistic Hollywood depictions.

You cannot just pick up a phone and within momenta have dozens of fighters intercepting an aircraft anywhere over the US.

Doesn't work like that.

There was no incompetence.

What incompetence? Even if you had the entire USAF, US Naval Aviation, USMC Aviation and lets throw in the USCG to boot; in the air and flying along side those planes what could they have done? Tell me in the comments what should they have done? Tell me what should have happned. Shoot those planes down because this might not be a standard hijacking but instead be something that has never happened before that would justify killing hundreds of Americans and Internationals?

There really was no incompetence. There was chatter about a major attack but not when or where or how. There was nothing we could do without more facts. No one had ever used airliners before so it wasn't even thought about.
