In 1986 I purchased a LOTR Chess set in Germany.?

This was before the movies came out so the pieces do not look like the characters You see now. Everything is in perfect condition as the set has never been played with. How do I determine what the set is worth if I ever decide to sell it. I tried showing it to a Antique shop but felt They were out to rip Me off. What do You advise?

    Put it up for sale on EBay and see what the open market will pay. Withdraw the item before the auction ends unless you like the prices being offered.

    That would be because this isn't an antique.

    It is a collectible.
