Things to do in San Remo, Italy in the summer?

I stayed in San Remo Italy for a few days during Monaco Grand Prix.

The hotel was great, and owners where really friendly. However there did not appear to a lot happening in San Remo.

How could I keep myself amused for a week in San Remo late July, early August ?

You mean besides the endless beaches , filled with hot babes?

Wellllllllll, there's whale watching tours that all but guarantee you will see Dolphins, for sure......but the whales can be evasive at times. At night ....there are little free concerts all over.........sometimes there are outdoor showings of movies in the old town........there is the annual MOAC in August........a huge indoor fair that runs about 10 days..............there are endless disco's......and the new BIKE path runs along damn near the entire riviera..........and you can rent out bikes all along this new path. ....one of the longest in all of Europe.

Spectacularly scenery all the way.......hugging the coast!

You can also hop the train to nearby towns like Alassio.....30 mins.

or go the other way and be in Monte Carlo in about an hour, with the required train change in Ventimilgia.

a damn shame what just happened in Nice.........also not that far by train from San Remo and is a lovely town.............but, wow..........what a tragedy......kids mowed down while just watching some fireworks........

what is this world coming to?

Well it is by the sea so you could go to the beach lol. You can also get the train over to Nice which is a big city, only about an hour away, and maybe fill in a few days there, there's lots to see and do there.

Source(s): Been there on holiday before

If you go the other way east - it is the Italian Riviera. Beautiful, small towns every couple of miles, water sports, beautiful people (and not, too), yachts and free things, too. All the way to Portofino and my favorite, Santa Margherita. There is a train that goes all the way and stops everywhere along the way.
