Can Hillary and Bernie save the planet from The Donald?

It's possible but it's really too soon to tell. A lot can happen between now and the election. I will say though that while Hillary is far from perfect, the problems with her pale in comparison to Trump. That's even considering the email server issue, which has been blown way out of proportion.

Bernie won't be VP so that puts him out of the picture. Hillary is barely ahead of Trump in popularity, I'm talking about a few percentage points, and something like 80% of Americans don't trust her. Probably not. Better get used to saying President Trump.

A Hillary presidency will be nearly as bad for humanity as a Trump presidency.
