pretty sure this is a scam, but need to make sure. please help (somewhat urgent)?

I don't see the details anywhere. But if you aren't sure if a call really came from the police department, then go to the phone book or their web site, find their normal non-emergency number, and call it. Ask for the person who supposedly called you. If they don't know who that is, it's a scam.

If your gut tells you it's a scam, it's likely a scam.
