Should i unplug my pc during thunderstorms?

    I would, there is always a risk of a power surge which means it could send a ton of electrical pulses to your computer and fry it

    If I am awake when there is a thunderstorm I unplug any major appliance that could be ruined. Television, PS3, computers.

    It couldn't hurt. Recall the old advice not to use a land telephone in a thunderstorm -- you shouldn't be using a wired PC either.
