How would you feel about being asked for cash gifts for a bridal shower? And for a food contribution?

Yes, I think it's very tacky. Unfortunately, I can't really decline because of who's shower it is.

    I would suddenly think i couldn't go. The food I don't mind but the cash bit I do mind very much.
