Do you think the European encounter with the Natives in the 15th/16th century was for the better or worse?

    Would that be European natives? Most people are natives.

    Definition: a person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not.

    Not so good for the natives as a rule.

    Either in South America or the US.

    It worked out well for the Europeans...the natives...not so much. The answer depends entirely on your perspective, from the naive or European point of view....

    For whom?

    You have to be specific.

    If they did not, for example, then Hitler would be ruling Europe right now.
