And a bucket will hold more oxygen and be less stressfull while he waits. every 2 hours or so, you could use a cup to scoop up some of the water in the bucket, and pour it back in from above the water surface, at a distance and speed that cause it to make bubles as it falls. This will get oxygen into the bucket for him.

Get a bag at the fish store and put him in there . Get a air pump and oxygenate the water for 2 hours and fill bag half with air . Keep the bag in a cooler
