OMG another stupid doomsday end of the world date prediction?

I used to be scared of them... like in the 1980s.

But since becoming an adult, I have lived through about 40 of them... well, the major ones, that is. Including really big ones, like Y2K and 12/12/2012.

People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of time.

For one thing it is a psychological thing. The drama. People always expect they'll be in the end days because psychologically we are the star of life. We can't imagine the world going on without us, or going through our own death alone.

For another thing, especially with books, then the internet-- it makes people a lot of money until it actually happens... the more people that read your webpage/view your youtube video, the more you get from advertisers.

I googled this date. Looks like it's not a major prediction at all, it's just some fear crap being stirred up by people who are trying to sell stuff.

What is the proof that the world will end on 29th of July? What is wrong with people assuming/believing/creating stupid news about world ending be it in 2012 or 2016 or what!!!

Well I am submitting this answer on 1st August 2016 so that should be proof in itself that the world is still very much still in existence and pretty much the same as it always has been. So that's another 'End of World' prediction dead and buried. Just got to wait for the next one now...

Honestly? No one with an IQ over 75 thinks the world will end. You don't need proof that it WON'T end, you need proof that it WILL, and there isn't any. Also, you misspelled a crucial word in your own profile. Can you find it? If you can't, message me and I'll tell you what it is so that you don't appear uneducated.

I do not. And does the fact that there's absolutely nothing happening that could possibly end the world in the next 3 days count as proof? Seriously, I've survived through dozens "end of the world" dates. I should get a medal!

We live in a liner existence and as one day turns to another the world of the previous day ends. So depending on how you look at our existence and how we live in the universe makes the decision for you. But if you mean that the earth will just end, I don't think so, but what if it dose? or don't? Why worry about it, what can you do about it. If you want to worry about something, look at the climate condition and look at what we can do to help it. This is something within our control and we need to work on finding a solution to it.

It is now 00:05 on the 30th July 2016 in my Time Zone.

    Earth seems pretty intact.

[Tough I was a bit worried by the 5 min fireworks display which started at 22:45 "yesterday"!]

  • Hi Ruby, as far as the physical earth ending that would never happen. What PROOF is there that shows that the physical earth would NEVER BE DESTROYED? The answer is found in God's Word The Bible, as found in the Bible book of Isaiah 45:18 which says this: "For this is what Jehovah says,

The Creator of the heavens, the true God,

The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it,

Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited:

“I am Jehovah, and there is no one else."(New World Translation).

As this Bible verse helps us to see, Jehovah God made this planet earth so that it can be inhabited. He firmly established the earth so that it would NEVER be destroyed.

But Ruby, in the Bible Jehovah God does make it clear that he won't tolerate for long, those who wishes to ruin the earth and practice what is bad. In God's Word The Bible Jehovah God makes it quite clear that soon he will get rid of all those who wishes to practice what is bad.

This is brought out in the Bible book of Psalms 37:9-11, which says this: "For evil men will be done away with,

But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.

    10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more;

You will look at where they were,

And they will not be there.

11 But the meek will possess the earth,

And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."(New World Translation).

As these Bible verses helps us to see is that soon Jehovah God will get rid of ALL of those who wishes to practice what is bad. ONLY those who wishes to practice what is good will be living on this earth where they will be experiencing an ABUNDANCE OF PEACE, due to the fact that those who wishes to practice what is bad would no longer exists on this earth.

Ruby, I would like to leave you an article that is Titled: "SHOULD YOU FEAR THE END OF THE WORLD?" which is found on the website: http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2013001#h=6

Ruby, you don't have to worry about the coming destruction(which will come in Jehovah God's due time) of those who wishes to practice what is bad. If you want to learn more, on what Jehovah God requires to make it into the future promise paradise, that will be right here on this earth, then feel free to talk with any Jehovah Witnesses in your area, and they would be happy to talk with you.
