What can I do about pests in my apartment?

Update:

I have spiders and bees coming from the ceiling vents. How do I get rid of them? Can I spray in there?

Update 2:

I live in an apartment and they send "pest control" into my place, but the problem persists. I cannot move until the end of the year, so I am stuck here for now.

Update 3:

I have gone to ACE Hardware and Lowes and they don't have any suggestions for me except expensive treatments that my apartment complex wont allow.

Well, spiders are not really much a pest, they are actually good natural exterminators.

Bees could be a bit of a problem, especially if they make a hive in the woodwork.

Don't poison or kill them, Try to locate a bee keeper or Apiest that wants the bees and they will remove them. often an exterminator with bee experience can be most helpful.

Meanwhile, indoors, you can attract bees to a saucer with a little piece of watermelon, or spoon of natural honey. Take the saucer, bees and all outside, repeat as needed.

I keep a few bees and strays that get indoors, I use the honey trick, but usually do it by hand. Never stung doing that either:

I would love to have your bees, I have room for more.

Work with your landlord about this, this problem can be solved easier than you think.

what "ceiling vents" are you referring to ?? are they for the heat/ac or what ?? best thing to do is take photos of the pests and send the photos to the management of the building AND also look online for the tenant/landlord laws for where you live............it may be possible for you to withhold the rent in this circumstance, but you need to see what the laws state
