In store, in state unauthorized debit card purchases? One over $50? New debit card in mail from bank as well?

You need a PIN to make a charge over $50, correct? If that s the case, than what do you think is up? Could someone have stolen an older debit card and used that? Does someone have access to the account? A new card came in the mail, from the bank around last week (I have NOT requested a new one), and there are only 3 of these banks in the entire state, one of which is where he works, along with someone we re almost certain has stolen from him before.

How would these charges be made in store, for over $50? Why was there a new card requested? Do you think this has to do with the SSN, or just a poorly secured bank? I m baffled.

    I occasionally forget a purchase I've made.

As for a new card, I would think that your bank could offer a better, more complete explanation than strangers on the internet. If you turn the card over and look at the back, a customer service number will be there.
