I saw Ghostbusters 3D and it was a good movie and made more money global then Star Trek 3 and is coming to China In October so why the hate?
Is going to come out in ireland and germany and italy and france and japan during throughout August as well.
I also payed an extra $8 for the D-Box seats, but only payed $1 for the 3D.

The hate is because some couldn't stand the all female cast so tehy wouldn't give it a chance. That is actually the #1 problem. Then it was promoted so much as the first movie but gender reversal. If they had promoted it as a different movie that was the same idea then it might have done better.

It's because Millenials can't handle the World not revolving around them. Basically most Millenials grew up on Ghostbusters, and it was one of the first more 'mature'(Ghosts/Supernatural) movies they were allowed to see, so in their memory it's far better than the movie actually was.
The new Ghostbusters is actually very similar in quality to the 1st Ghostbusters, and it shows, kids today love 'em, they love the new toys, and they love that this is their 1st movie with ghosts, and supernatural creatures.

bad press didn't help with the cast reveal. i think fans were shocked when it was an all female cast. and hated the movie before they gave it a chance. i may see it if it's on TV, but i never had interest in the original Ghostbusters movie.
