How do I put two single beds together as a double bed?

My boyfriend and I have recently moved in together in a dorm room and we're looking for ways to put the two single beds together as one. They both have a metal frame at the top and bottom parts but nothing is higher than the mattress level on the sides. The question is - how are we going sleep/ cuddle comfortably at night without ending up in the gap and pushing the beds apart during the night with our body weight? We thought about getting an additional double-bed mattress on top of the beds, but would that be sufficient? Do we need to tie/ tape the bed's feet together or stuff the gap between the beds/ mattresses with something soft? What would you suggest? Thanks!

Bind the frames together, then use a $15 bed bridge http://amzn.to/2agsX8Z, if that doesn't cure it then maybe get a king size memory foam topper, should be able to get a 3-4" for around $100 http://amzn.to/2aguFa8 .

They also sell a strap for that http://amzn.to/2at5lcq

I would get a couple of 3-4" C clamps from a hardware store and clamp the rails together. If you have a drill, I would and a bit about 3/8" diameter, I would drill holes in the rails and bolt them together.

Sounds like an ideal use of duct tape. Tape the two frames together.

Get a piece of foam big enough to cover both mattresses.
