Should I choose Computer Engineering or Computer Science?
College time is around the corner, so I want to make sure I pick the one I feel good with. First of all is some stuff about me: I love to diagnose and do tech support stuff. If it comes to tweaking the Control Panel or finding out the procedure to do something on a PC, I'm all in for it. I also like to use many different software and test for the best one; antivirus for example. I consider myself the tech support for people around me; and if course on Yahoo Answer too. I just love computers and tech gadgets.
Now I heard that most companies always look for IT people to add to their department, and that IT also work with helping around in the company when the occasion arise. So my question again is: Computer Engineering or Computer Science? As I research I still can't differentiate between the two, and I don't know what major the kind of computer support or IT falls into.
*Also a side question: Between CE and CS which one is more in demand right now? Which one is more practical?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about your school's program, but the CE program here is a specialization of electrical engineering. And while an electrical engineers are in high demand, computer engineers may or may not be in demand outside of the tech hubs (though I could be wrong about this part).
With CS on the other hand, software developers are in demand pretty much everywhere.
So just based on employ-ability, you may find yourself having to relocate for a CE job. Not that this is a bad thing, just definitely something to consider.

As an IT professional, I would suggest neither. The sales guys make all the money, and get the hot girls.
