What to do if someone won't take your advice?

My friend does all the house work looks after her daughter and her b/f father and his 25 year old son. All he does is drinks in the pub and drink drives uses his phone whilst driving.

I told her she is getting used by him.

But she won't listen.

    Keep trying. Maybe get some other friends in on it? Do an intervention?

    Seek help for your raging narcissism. It's uniquely self absorbed that you to think that others, friend especially, should obey you and substitute your judgment for theirs. They can manage their relationships without you.

    That's sweet but, her rejection of your advice is so stuck in your craw you're asking about it here. Again, very egotistical to be that upset that someone might DARE reject your advice.

    They're under no obligation to take your advice.

    You did your part already. Let them do what they will do.
