Selling at clothes mentor or platos closet?

I have a $500 dollar Kate spade dress that I'm looking to sell among lots of urban outfitters and free people clothes. Do these places accept that clothes and how much is estimated that I will make off of each item? (Specifically the Kate spade dress. Will I make at least $40 off of it? Should I try to sell it elsewhere?) thank you!!!

I am familiar with selling clothes at Plato's Closet, so I will base my answer on that store specifically.

Designer clothes and bags are accepted at the stores, and you must sign a few things to verify the original price of the item and they must examine it to be sure it isn't a knockoff.

From my experience selling designer brand clothing to this store, I would say that you will definitely make more than $40. If you do not, I would ask them why. They will always give you an estimation before they take the clothing, though, in case you do not like the offer. Be sure to check the dress for stains, rips, and it should only be at most 2 years old. They are very picky about older clothes coming in to the store, as they pride their sales as only "the hottest new trends."

Good luck! It is worth a shot.
