Can I put a half-shaved haircut in a bun or ponytail?
I want to shave/buzz half my head and have the rest long, but I m in a dance group and will need to have my hair up. Is that even possible when half my head is shaved? Will it look terrible?

It's not going to look great to an overwhelming majority of people. Before shaving half your head, please be aware there is no scientific evidence that anything can make hair grow faster than the rate set by inherited DNA. The average rate of hair growth is 1/2" per month. Depending on your current length, it could take years to grow out.

There is a way, where you could get a part shaved of the side, but still be able to put it flat out, you'd look perfectly fine in a ponytail then.
