Can you please give us your honest opinion on the following names for our baby boy?

My wife and I are expecting a baby boy later this year. We were both born and raised in London but have Turkish parents. We are thinking of giving our boy a Turkish name, but only if it sounds good and is easily pronounced in by non-Turkish speakers here in England. So here's what we have so far in no particular order:

Metin

Levent

Evren

Mete

Emre

Arden

Enver

Emil

Erdem

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Note. These names have been chosen as they are pronounced exactly as they are written (perhaps with the exception of Mete which is pronounced Mettay).

I love the name Emre! As someone who has lived in the US and UK both, I don't think many people will completely mispronounce it. I have met people with that name (and am not of Turkish descent at all) so I expect some average people will already be familiar with it. Arden is my second choice and probably easier for most people to pronounce. Also, congratulations on your future baby boy!

I think I like Arden the most, followed by Emil. I quite like the name Emel for a girl. I didn't know there was a male version (I'm not Turkish, but I'm learning the language and Emel comes up every now and then as an example name). Anyway, now I know and I think it's a great name for either gender (like Arden)!

I like Emre. I think non Turks shouldn't have a problem with.

Arden can also be a girl's name so perhaps don't go with that.

If you can't find a good Turkish name try using a British name and one of the Turkish options as a hyphenated or middle name

I think Arden is a great name for a boy! It's strong, and will age well too.

I like Arden and Levent, amazing names! I also like the name Emir, which is also Turkish.

Arden or Amil should be great. I myself am a Brit and those were probably the only ones I could pronounce ok. Good luck! Please update and tell us what you picked I've named two babies on this website already!
