Electric oven only heating to about 300 F.?
My electric oven will heat up to about 300 F but that s as high as it will go. The heating element looks OK (not broken, anyway) and I replaced it about 3 years ago, but it just doesn t seem to be able to heat up like it should. Any ideas?
It doesn't glow at all that I can see. It is like it just can't get hot enough. I can feel the heat coming off of it, but it's not glowing orange like usual.

Does it glow all of the time? If so, it is bad, you have defective wiring or switch or are getting low voltage to it. If it cycles, the thermostat is defective.
