How to stop my ebook from being downloaded for free?
I just discovered that my self-published novel has been downloaded and is available for free on pdf and Mobi costing me thousands of dollars in loss. What can I do to stop this?

If you are smart and are selling your ebook at a reputable publisher like Amazon, also contact them and see if there is anything they can do about it.
Contact the sites where it is hosted, point out where it is for sale, and tell them you are the author and you demand they remove the illegal download from their site.
Also - I don't think you are losing "thousands" because for the most part, people who steal ebooks would not buy them.
And if this is just some ebook you licensed and multiple people are selling it, then it's unlikely you can do anything.
