little icon on the bottom bezel should have i icon showing "4K ready" if not google the model number found on the sticker at the back, look for specs then res and your looking for 4096 × 2160 or 3840 x 2160 for 4k and 1920 x 1080 for 1080p

It would help if you supplied the model number, but your can go to Samsung's web site and look up your model. The specifications will tell you if it's 4K or simply HD at either 720p or 1080p.

The owner's manual has all the answers.
Look at the specifications.
If a format or resolution is not mentioned, the TV doesn't do it.

The easiest way would be to find the model number of the TV either on the back or on the box and google it.
