what are normal operating temperatures for an intel q9400 2.66 quad core processor?

I am kind of worried at my processor temperatre. I have a program called speccy and it shows the temperatures of different parts of the computer and right now the processor is at 64-65. sometimes the processor stays down to 50-60 celsius

    Maximum CASE temperature is 71.4, so 65 C at the chip is normal. The power use, and hence heat depends on what the chip is doing. Mostly idle and it will cool off to ~50C. Run some heavy computing tasks or games, and it will go up, to around 65 isn't anything to worry about.

    That little chip can be dissipating up 95watts or power into the heat sink. That's more power per inch than the cook-top on your stove. So it's going to get hot.
