Why am i incapable of expressing myself through art anymore?

i used to be able to create these surrealist things or draw and express what i feel and now i can t put a pen to paper and draw what i feel without breaking the tip or wanting to toss the whole thing aside... i can draw technical things, i can paint realistically, but i can t make what i feel anymore. how do i get that back?

Creativity is infinite, man. It can never run out. You can never force creativity it just comes. I am a musician and I love creating music. Sometimes I have no creative ideas, so I will spend my time learning songs off records. Like a bass line or a guitar melody, or a harmony or something, what ever I hear you know. And I listen to as much music as I can. And then out of no where I'll be playing a record and I'll make a mistake and be like 'that sounds cool' and I'll turn my mistake into a musical idea and work on it from there, and the more songs I learn and hear the more ideas I get. And then it just starts flowing and I have too many ideas I can barely manage.

If you like drawing go buy some tracing paper and start tracing art works that already exist. Go and trace some Leonardo Di Vinci, or I dunno I don't know may artists, just start copying the greats. Go to a museum and appreciate other people's art, drop your pride for a while and be a student, learn for a while

You need to go back to your first painting and think about what you did then
