Donald Trump tax plan?

I saw an interview where he stated poor people won't get taxed. That's cool and all but what about social security benefits once they retire? If they don't pay taxes how will they be taken care of if they didn't pay taxes through social security?

It doesn't mean people wouldn't pay tax of any kind. Poor people would still pay Social Security, Medicare, unemployment in states that payroll-deduct for it, sales tax, property tax, state and local income taxes, vehicle tax, etc. He's talking about federal income tax.

You should read a candidate's whole plan before you base your vote on sound bites.

You have to pay Social Security and Medicare no matter how poor you are if you have a job. The Trump plan is not eliminating federal income tax totally.

Income tax is different and separate from Social Security tax.

Technically what you pay to social security is not a tax. It actually keep track of what you put in there and your benefits are partially based on what you put in.

Poor people already don't get taxed.

They will still pay SS, etc, just not income tax (which they already don't pay).

You COMPLETELY misunderstood what he was talking about. Do you think he also meant that they don't have to pay sales tax?

Insanity is fundamentally irrational. There is no understanding it.
