What is the difference between command and control in MLB?

    From what I recall, command is finer than control. Control means you get a pitch in the zone when you want to. Command means you put it in the spot where you want it.

    But I'm not sure that's actually how the terms are used.

    To me control means does the pitcher throw strikes, command means putting the pitch where you want it,in the strike zone or not
