Where should my noise gate go on my pedal chain?

Generally, last, but you might experiment with placing it just after the effect that generates the most noise; typically, this is the one with the highest gain, like a distortion pedal.
I agree with OU8 though. If you can work out a way to avoid it, you're better off. Start by turning volume up all the way at the guitar; elsewhere, use the least gain possible to get the saturation you want. Drive your power tubes hard enough to make them clip naturally. (Does not apply to solid state amps.) Anything that cuts frequencies out (like exaggerated graphic EQ curves or big wide cuts in a parametric EQ stage) is potentially robbing signal that you need elsewhere. (For that matter, put the graphic last in the chain, too.) In a really high-gain patch like a modern distortion guitar sound, it may be impossible to avoid some kind of noise gate, but if you are getting tons of hiss, you probably need to examine the levels in your signal chain overall, and perhaps the order in which other effects appear, too.

No wonder nobody could figure out what the heck this was about. It's posted in the cycling section - as in BICYCLES. It's a musical question dealing with electric guitars - which I don't believe Yahoo has a section for.
You want this question answered? Ask a shop that sells that type of stuff, like maybe Guitar Center.

Back in the box, they are tone suckers. As to the category, surely most of you know that YA will determine the category for you, which it always gets wrong and many newer folks use this feature. Just one of the many things that suck about YA. So next time rather than giving the OP a hard time about a category they didn't even select, just move the damn thing to the right category for them.

To the best of my knowledge, Yahoo has no section for musical instruments & electronic accessories. Call a guitar shop. You can find one the same way we to tell people how to find a bicycle shop. You simply Google it, like this. https://www.google.com/#q=guitar+shop+63701

Use the Edit icon to move your question to the Entertainment & Music>>Music section. I've personally seen questions being asked about musical instruments there.
