What is the domain and range of f(x)=[x]?Please give an explanation.?

I don't really know what the brackets mean; its not absolute value. When I graph it on a calculator there is an error?

I think that means "the greatest integer in x," sometimes called the floor function and written with bracket that look like an L and a backwards L.

If that's the case, the domain is all real numbers, and range is all integers.

About those brackets, it is you who must tell us what they mean. I have seen that notation for several different meanings, e.g., integral part, congruence class. It is perfectly acceptable to use a special notation in some specific application, but it must first be defined.
