Question about County Court Judgements. (CCJ's) UK.?

5 years ago I got a loan for my mum.

The loan was in my name but I gave the money to my mum to help her out financially, on the understanding she would pay it every month. Which we both agreed.

She didn't..

And I didn't find out until 2 years ago.

So now MY credit file has a CCJ on it.

The CCJ is dated 5 years ago so I assume she never paid a penny towards it?

Anyway. As it will be 6 years next year that the CCJ has been on there, will it then disappear after the 6 years?

Will the CCJ just be removed from my credit file automatically? Or do I have to do something to get it removed? It will have been on there over 6 years next year so just need advice for when that happens.

You still OWE the money, so it will not come off until you have paid the creditor.

When you pay it off you then take the receipt to the Courts and ask for a ' Certificate of Satisfaction'.

You then send this to the credit agencies. Then it will come off.
