CAR LOCK CYLINDER OR CAR STARTER OR ??
I'm not good with cars.. He's my question I have a 1994 Honda Accord sedan. Recently its been not wanting to start up. But I'm not sure what it is? My first choice if I had to choose would be the ignition lock cylinder but I say that because I can be driving and I can remove my keys from the ignition lock cylinder and continue driving no problem. Its loose so im starting to wonder driving like that so often did I ware it out to the point I can't start up the car? The key turns all the way to the start and everything comes out good no problems. What could it be maybe the starter or the ignition or the ignition lock cylinder? Its a automatic transmission not sure if that makes a difference or not. Any feedback will be gradly appreciated

They key is pretty worn and that could be the reason. Cylinders wear out too. Go to the dealer and have them punch out a new key for you. See if that fixes it and you might spend $10. A new cylinder might run you $30. The starter is not in this issue. Do you know how to change an ignition cylinder? It's a bit of work and you can see how in a Chilton's Auto Repair manual at the library.

ALSO TO NOTE that last time it started I had to push my keys in deep into cylinder and then turning so I could get it to start. I can also turn the keys regularly in the cylinder and also get a click but that does nothing. So I tried pushing them in hard into the cylinder then cranking it then in the second line before starting up I get a click from the cylinder. Then after when I turn it all the way I get a click coming from what seems to he the speedometer and the shifter where you put car into park and drive etc ...

Dont tell us what you might think it be, it probably isnt that anyway.
Tell us what you mean by "its been not wanting to start up?" Does it crank? Does it crank slowly? Does ot sputter before eventually starting up? Does it not even crank at all? Does it take you multiple attempts at turning the key to get it to fire up? Once its running does it run smoothly? It is maybe a weak battery causing it to take long to start up if its been sitting overnight? If you park the car after a drive and try to start it up again in 30 seconds later, does it still have issues starting?
No one can diagnose anything unless you describe the problem in full detail.
Having a "first choice" at what you think it MIGHT be is a good way to waste time and money throwing parts at the car that wont do anything to fix your problem.
