In general yes, I agree; I believe in God, but I don't believe in what men say about God. However, not knowing what you say about God, I don't know whether I even agree with that.

Almost.
I don't believe anything
that anyone else says
about the hypothetical god,
that they are imagining.
But, I do not believe that any of
my imaginings of any hypothetical gods,
have anything to do with reality.

i believe in what SOME men say about God. for example, in the book of mormon it says dont trust any man. and dont labor for money, but labor for the kingdom of God. if you follow mormons, they tell you to get a job, if you follow most people they tell you to get a job, but in the end, if you become sick and elderly and cannot work They will thrown you to the curb and higher young men that have strong backs. and then see where working for money will get you.
Mosiah 23: 13-14
13 And now as ye have been delivered by the power of God out of these bonds; yea, even out of the ahands of king Noah and his people, and also from the bbonds of iniquity, even so I desire that ye should cstand fast in this liberty wherewith ye have been made free, and that ye trust no man to be a king over you.
14 And also trust no one to be your teacher nor your minister, except he be a man of God, walking in his ways and keeping his commandments.
2 Ne. 28: 31
31 Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost.
2 Ne. 26: 30-31
30 Behold, the Lord hath forbidden this thing; wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment that all men should have acharity, which bcharity is clove. And except they should have charity they were nothing. Wherefore, if they should have charity they would not suffer the laborer in Zion to perish.
31 But the alaborer in Zion shall labor for Zion; for if they labor for money they shall perish.

I can't agree as you are setting a special exemption for yourself. Everyone else is wrong about God.. except me. That is a rather arrogant statement is it not?

No.
(Besides...aren't you a MAN saying something about God right now? Sounds like special pleading, all men are wrong about God...except me!)

No, common sense tells us to not believe in any particular person or group of people. We have the intelligence God gave us to discern these things.

2 Tim3:16 all scriptures is inspired of god and beneficial for teaching for reproving for setting things straight for disciplining on righteousness. As long as the person is using the bible and showing you where its mentioned. Now if they are telling you their opinion or what was mentioned to them, then thats not a trusty source.

Nope.
You couldn't believe in god without first believing the tall tales of men.
God is one such tall tale. Men made all gods.
All facts indicate magic isn't the culprit here.

Since you did not explain yourself, there are some evil WOMEN too on this forum, and I agree with you since lots of evil men and women don't believe in God.
