Did you know what you were doing at 24?

I am not sure I know what I am doing now. In order to make better decisions at 24 I would have to be able to read minds. And the result would have been easier choices but not ultimately beneficial to me. The girl who begged me to move to Boston didn't need me anymore but she couldn't tell me until she spent all my money so I would go home.

If I had gone home instead of sleeping on the frozen streets for two weeks my life would have gone in a very bad direction.

I needed to be away from my family and learn to be self-reliant because the emotional and spiritual damage my dependency cost was worse than anything the street was going to do to me.

Could I have known any of that? No.

Currently? Looking at the computer screen like many other 24 yr olds like myself. In reality, trying to get the most confusing twenties handled as best as possible in the messed up world and economy we are dealing with today. Not easy, but twenties are where you sort your life out and wade through undiscovered territory that is known as adulthood.

I was doing the best that i knew at the time. In retrospect i'm still trying to figure out what it was. I know i'm having a few senior moments now a daze!! Maybe i'll never remember but that's ok -can't live in the past.

Yeah I was going through my last year of college. I thought it was some good times. I knew what I was doing then and what I wanted to do after.
