How do I keep my dogs from spraying or marking the furniture?

Dogs don't 'spray', but they may mark. Cats spray. Trained dogs do NOT lift their legs indoors however - none of my entire males dared do that, and they were around entire bitches too.

If you hope that castration will do anything other than prevent unwanted puppies, you will be disappointed because it won't. These dogs may be competing against each other (overc ocking) but this shouldn't be happening, obviously. If they can't be trusted when alone, have them in an area of the house where this kind of mistake can be wiped up and where they can't mark the furniture. And get down to properly house training them!

You might make sure one or both (unlikely) doesn't have a medical reason to be doing this.

Dogs don't either mark or spray, IF they are toilet trained as puppy's.

It also helps if they have several LONG walks a day and are not left home alone.

    You supervise and housebreak them.

Do not leave the dog loose and unattended to soil the inside of your home.

You add room to roam once the dog is trustworthy inside the home.

Make sure they are altered and housetrain them. A lot of daily walks and keep them crated when you are not at home.

Restrict their access to your furniture (kennel).
