I have a Hamilton Beach 900 power microwave. I want to disable the turn table for cooking with dishes that are too large to turn.?

    You can remove the glass tray and use an inverted microwave save bowl to cover the drive mechanism. Then put your large plate on top of the bowl. You may want to stop hearing part way through to rotate your dish so it heats more evenly

    Can't be done. Also the cooking process would be adversely affected as the rotation ensures even cooking. Reduce the size of the item.

    redstapler52 is on the right track, but over complicating the issue. Flip the turntable upside down.

    I could not find how to turn the turntable off and on in the instructions.
