    It wouldn't really be a hypothesis... by definition, a hypothesis has to be testable. If it can't be tested, then it isn't a hypothesis. You can't test it if your claim is just opinion. You could make a *claim* that can't be tested - of example, if you said "Oreos are better than Chips Ahoy", you'd simply be stating untestable opinion. With a little work, you can turn it into a hypothesis, though. By changing it to "X is better than Y" you could say that "people prefer X to Y" and then test it with a taste test, market data, or even a simple questionnaire.
