Passport has not arrived, I go on holiday on Monday :(?

Hello,

I lost my passport and re applied about 4 weeks ago as I hadn't realised I had lost it, I got called in for an interview as it was the 2nd time I had lost it (which I KNOW is bad) so I had my interview on Wednesday 7th Sept last week and they asked me all the questions etc to make sure it was all legit.

I go on holiday on Monday 19th - I did say this to the lady and she said she would put a note on file so they see that I am flying on this date, I called yesterday and was told that it was with an examiner and they have it noted that I go on Monday, I then call today and its still with an examiner and they will ask if he can call back - no one has called back and they said its highly unlikely I will get it :( I have 5 working days until I go as I go late Monday eve for my birthday... they said it takes 48 hours to be printed and 48 hrs with the courier... do you know if I could go and collect from London? that's the closest place I think they print.

I don't know what to do.. should I keep pestering them?

Pestering them won't help.  Resign yourself to missing at least part of the trip.

Asking them to divert your passport to London or anywhere else is a bad idea.  It's a huge, lumbering bureaucracy and and asking them to do something special just for you is more likely to cause additional problems than eliminate them.

If you do the math, and weekends don't usually count, then should arrive today.  Typically you don't pester someone until it's past the estimated time they quoted you.
