Yeah definitely. It Takes A Nation is the best album to come out of the 80's.

After those four, PE has been forgetable so ranking a fifth album doesn't really matter.

Oh no, not at all. Not the best. Top 5 maybe. But the best? I cant go that far. I love public enemy too but the 80s had Rakim, KRS One, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Slick Rick, A tribe called quest. I mean the list goes on and on of Legends. in the 80s. Best group would go to NWA in that era for me. Top ten group? Of course. top 5 if anything. 1.NWA 2. Wu Tang 3. Run DMC 4. Slaguther house 5. Public Enemy. definitely top 5 groups or duos ever.

Yes, them and Boogie Down Productions. Their music was so positive and uplifting, I miss music like that. They actually talked about important things and didn't put curses in all their verses. But then the white man got a hold of rap and changed it from a good positive thing to a demonic destructive thing, and then we got N.W.A.
