Our little toddler has hand, foot, mouth disease now for the second time in under three months. Is that possible and/or abnormal?

The symptoms are fever, lethargy, bumps on face and feet. Pediatrician gave us "magic mouthwash", which helps, but she is miserable for the second time and it's heartbreaking.

    Both possible and normal.

Once you get one strain of it, it's still possible to get others. The virus mutates so quickly, and that makes it easy to get again and again.

Not much you can do, I'm afraid. I've had it and it is miserable. Poor baby!

They usually only get it once in their entire lifetime.

Most often the first exposure produces life-long immunity.

If the pediatrician isn't worried, though, I wouldn't be either.

Quit your beefing. She'll be fine. It won't kill her.
